Vietnam Overhyped Spots vs Better Alternatives

Some spots get all the hype but don't deliver. Here's what we'd choose instead.

Ben Nghe Street Food? Crowded and average. Hit Ho Thi Ky or District 3 for authentic, delicious eats. Nha Trang beaches are fine, but Da Nang's are cleaner, wider, and way more authentic. Cafe Giang's egg coffee is iconic but packed. Tonkin Specialty or Eggyolk give the same (or better) without the wait.
