About Liam and Sarah
Hey, we're Liam and Sarah. A British-Canadian couple, based in Vietnam since 2023. Two Peas Abroad is our Vietnam planning site: practical guides, itineraries, and food maps from trips we have actually taken.
Liam first came to Vietnam in 2017. We moved here in early 2023. Since then we have kept going back: the same mountains, the same bays, and plenty of places that never show up on a map.
What this site is for
If you are planning a Vietnam trip and want the straight answer we would give a friend — is this worth it, how do we get there, what do we eat, what would we skip — that is the site.
We publish:

- Food maps of places we keep going back to
- Custom itinerary planning when a template is not enough
The paid itineraries and food maps are built the same way. If we have not done it, it is not in the file.
We are not a hotel-review bible and we are not writing from a list we found online.

Living here since 2023 is the base. The useful part is going back.

We still have not been to every district, and we have not tried every dish. We are still here, still exploring, and we share the best of it on this site and on our socials.
When a page is from a trip we took, we say so. When something is a rule (visa, pre-arrival form, airport process), we point at the official site and date-check it.

How a guide gets written
We write guides and create videos from our daily experiences in Vietnam. The trips, the meals, and the routes we have actually done.
- Every guide shows the day we published it and the day we last updated it
- Official rules link to .gov.vn where they exist
- Affiliate links are labelled, and we still tell you to skip a paid extra when we skip it
- If we have not done it, we don't write about it. We're very open about all of the places we haven't been yet.
Liam writes the site. Sarah creates the videos. We both stand behind what goes up.
How the site is funded
Guides, articles, videos, extra video information, and general questions are all free.
We earn money when you buy a ready-made itinerary or food map, book through a disclosed affiliate link (same price for you), or hire us for custom planning. We also do paid work with brands, for exceptional places we would personally love to feature. We do not sell a positive review, and we do not recommend the more expensive option just because it pays more. We also receive donations via our Buy Me a Coffee page.

Yes. We moved in 2023 and we are still based here.
Do you get paid if I book through your links?
Sometimes. Affiliate links are always disclosed on the page if so, and you pay the same price.
Do you take brand deals?
Yes, selectively, with places that are exceptional and we would film anyway. A paid partnership is always labelled.
Is this official visa or immigration advice?
No. For e-visas and the pre-arrival form, use the government sites we link.
Are the guides free?
Yes. Guides, articles, videos, extra video information, and general questions are free. You pay if you buy a ready-made itinerary, a food map, or custom planning.
Have you been everywhere in Vietnam?
No. We have not been to every district, and we have not tried every dish. If we have not done it, we don't write about it.
