Ninh Binh Must-Dos, Boat Tours & Eco Stays

We've visited Ninh Binh so many times since moving to Vietnam and always recommend visiting if you have the time. The eco homestays and villas tucked into the limestone cliffs and rice paddies have way more character than regular hotels while still offering modern comforts.

Trang An boat tour is our go-to. Longer than Tam Coc (around 4 hours), similar price, and you can get on and off to explore temples and more caves. Pair it with the Hang Mua hike for epic viewpoints (including the lying dragon), peaceful Tuyet Tinh Coc by bike, and the historic sites like Bai Dinh or Bich Dong Pagoda.
