Ninh Binh Mistakes to Avoid

We've been living and traveling Vietnam since 2023 and keep seeing the same Ninh Binh mistakes. Trang An is the stronger boat tour for most people, with more caves, temples, walking paths and a calmer pace than the short, non-stop Tam Coc option.

If you only have a week or two in Vietnam, a day trip from Hanoi or two nights covers the highlights without feeling rushed. Three days works well if you want to cycle and slow down, but longer stays can leave you running out of things to do.
