Bua Thong Waterfall Day Trip from Chiang Mai
Free climbable waterfall in Sri Lanna National Park about an hour from Chiang Mai, plus the private driver charter we used to get there.
Bua Thong Waterfall sits in Sri Lanna National Park, about an hour outside Chiang Mai, and entry is free. Hours run 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We packed swimwear or tall shorts, a towel, and flip-flops.
There are ropes if you want to climb the falls, or wooden stairs if you'd rather stay dry. We used a private driver charter for the trip out so we were not stuck waiting around for a ride back.
